Welcome
The High Ongar 10K is a popular, well established charity running race held near the ancient market town of Chipping Ongar in Essex.  The officially measured course is free of traffic and in 2008 was chosen as the Essex AAA 10K Championship Race.  The route is picturesque, passing through open countryside and crossing the historic Chipping Ongar airfield, home to the 387th Bomber Group of the US Air Force during the Second World War.

The race is organised by volunteers from the local community including the High Ongar village hall committee, the Rotary Club of Ongar, Ongar Round Table, local runners and helpers. Funds raised have been used to help build the new High Ongar village hall and in 2009 will be used to benefit other charitable good causes in the village.  Join us on this popular, safe and friendly race.
